鉛板，指用金屬鉛軋制而成的板材，目前國內常見的厚度為1-20mm，常用規(guī)格為1000*2000MM，國內較好的機器可制作較寬1300MM，較長8000MM，多采用1#電解鉛制作。鉛板，具有很強的防腐蝕，耐酸耐堿，耐酸環(huán)境施工、醫(yī)用防輻射，X光，CT室射線防護、加重、隔音等許多方面，而且是一種比較廉價的防輻射材料。
防輻射鉛板是指利用x線曝射量與距離平方成反比這一原理，通過增加x線源與人體間距離以減少曝射量。X線穿透人體將產(chǎn)生一定的生物效應。若接觸的X射線量過多，超過容許曝射量，就可能產(chǎn)生放射反應，甚至產(chǎn)生一定程度的放射損害。鉛板-是低能輻射很好的防護材料。
鉛板，鉛玻璃主要用于放射科、核醫(yī)學、工業(yè)上等各種放射領域的輻射防護。
鉛板一般于用墻面防護，用鉛板和其它板材做成復合板，再固定到墻上即可，只是鉛板在施工時要注意鉛板之間的搭接，以及釘子眼的處理。
鉛玻璃則主要用來做觀察窗，鉛玻璃是因為其成份中含有氧化鉛而起到防護作用的，鉛玻璃可以根據(jù)各個客戶需求不同切割成各種規(guī)格。
